Emergency Meals

Recently I've started my own emergency food pantry and wanted to share some of the meals I had come up with! Here are 4 "no cook" + cook options for any type of emergency!

1- dehydrated veggie soup with rice cakes or crackers

The cook option of this I would add beans, tomatoes and extra veggies but its simple to rehydrate and eat "uncooked"!

2-Mashed potatoes with veggies

For a cook option, I would make a shepard's pie! They're super hearty and cozy without a lot of work! You can add just can items or you can cook lentils!

3-Chick'n salad "sandwiches" but with crackers! or rice cakes!

Mustard, dill relish, chickpeas and crackers will make a nice little lunch that is very satisfying!

Make this homemade bread for an added cook option to take it to the next level! https://flourishingmiranda.wixsite.com/flourishing-miranda/post/italian-herb-cheeze-bread

4- Oatmeal with a canned fruit of any type! Simple! As for a cook option make oatmeal bake!

I usually use the base of 2 bananas, 2 cups of quick oats and 1 cup of milk but you can use anything in case of an emergency! Apple sauce is a great alternative to bananas and water can be used
